Our mission is to: 1. enable customers to discover, book and pay beauty services seamlessly 24/7 ; 2. build a sophisticated salon management software to help beauty salons and hairdressers manage their businesses. Launched in March 2015, Vaniday is now live in 3 countries worldwide: Singapore, Australia and UAE. In July 2015, Vaniday successfully raised €15 million in its first round of funding. Job Description

Summer Internship (full-time) with potential for full-time contract afterwards!

This position is an exciting and extraordinary opportunity to be at the root of a fast growing and constantly developing company. You will gain insight and firsthand experience into an internet start-up, learn day-to-day management and build sales and software expertise. You should be a highly motivated individual who is interested in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and is able to quickly assume a great deal of responsibility. In this role, you will gain deep insight into how start-ups operate, and will have the opportunity to work alongside an international team with a strong track record.

Your role will be almost entirely client facing. You will be working very closely with our partnering salons performing duties including:

  • On-boarding new partner salons into the Vaniday ecosystem
  • Identifying ways that Vaniday can improve our partnering salons business performance
  • Selling our world-class salon management software to assist salons in managing their business and integrating with our consumer marketplace
  • Working closely with our operations and marketing team in executing our business initiatives.
  • Pitching and selling Vaniday to health, wellness and beauty professionals and assisting with vendor onboarding (can involve cold calling, going out to meet clients, doing sales presentations etc)
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all sales and operational queries from vendors.


Qualifications

  • Ideally you have already successfully obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree from university, with outstanding communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Highly motivated, with an absolute hands-on mentality, exceptional analytic skills and strong communication skills. You will also possess independence, ambition and professionalism.
  • A strong interest in e-commerce (an interest in the health, wellness or beauty industry or start-ups is highly preferable).
  • You have a clear interest in people and are motivated to work in a start-up environment, and you are flexible and agile.
  • You are legally able to work in Australia, and can work full-time for at least the next 6 months.
